I feel like I'm turning into the resident Demos TV critic but there was quite a funny two-way on BBC 3's 7 o' clock news last night about our After the Gold Rush report. Eddie Mair (he of Radio 4's BH fame) introduced the piece and then asked the reporter who the new report was by. 'Demos and IPPR' he said before adding 'and they've been doing an awful lot of thinking' picking up an inch-thick wodge of A4 paper, rifling through it and dropping it with a thud on the table. It was then I realised that some poor BBC laser printer must have been chugging away all afternoon to print out the pdf in all its 167 page glory. And it didn't have a double sided function.
