So it sounds like wifi might be a gogo for Labour Party Conference at the end of the month enabling us to do a bit of Brighton blogging.

The pressure is on as it emerges that Labour hasn't given any press passes to bloggers.

We've also had our first offer of guest blogger for the Greenhouse in the form of David Lammy MP - I'll do a proper introduction nearer the time. Hopefully he's the first of many.

On the subject of Brighton 2004, check out the article in the Disinfopedia about this year's Labour Party Conference.

Siemens Business Services is sponsoring an IPPR discussion featuring David Blunkett. That'll be the same Siemens Business Services that is the recipient of a major Home Office contract to implement an online passport application service. And that is now angling for the big fat national ID card contracts, when they come on stream. It's all part of the wonderful 'scratch my back, I'll scratch yours' world of New Labour.
