New futures for NCSL

There's an upbeat Guardian article today about the future of the National College for School Leadership. It follows the launch of the Futuresight tool, which contains six scenarios on the future of schooling. Demos made a big contribution to writing and producing the scenarios, and has since road-tested them with a range educationalists, including headteachers, policy-makers and students.

We are with 100 education leaders today at the launch of FutureSight. They are really challenging us to explain how the tools that have been developed over the last 2 years can be adapted and modified for their different contexts. We are trying balance the integity of the learning process with the need to differentiate for different audiences.
What ever happens today it is important that delegates feel empowered to use some of these materials in their own schools, LEAs and communities.
