What's in a name?

The debate about the name of the DTI has all been quite amusing. The PM announced that the department was going to be refocussed last Friday after the election and renamed it the Department for Productivity, Energy and Industry (DPEI).
That was soon shortened to either dippy or dopey so we had the promise of dopey White Papers on all kinds of important subjects.
The always on the pulse Plastics and Rubber Weekly mentions a rather cruder acronym that was also doing the rounds(ah the joys of Google News).
Anyway the whole thing is off now it's back to good old DTI. Which is a bit annoying for our interns who had changed all the entries on our database to DPEI. Oh well.
