Reading the Metro this last week, I was struck by several pieces on flood preparedness - both among
local councils and community associations and
insurance companies. Perhaps most interesting is what these stories imply, firstly, about the relationship between central government and these organisations and second, about our perception of and (over?) reaction to flood risk.
