An event exploring the political uses of governance and democracy measurements, including Demos' Everyday Democracy Index, hosted by the Centre for the Study of Global Governance of the London School of Economics.
What purposes do indexes of democracy, governance and civil society serve, and what effects do they have in reality? The panel will explore various attempts to measure the extent of democracy, the strength of civil society, and the accountability of powerful organisations.
