City Limits makes a case for the progressive reform of financial services which avoids knee-jerk policy decisions. It focuses on how to create a stronger and more resilient economy that better serves the public. Author of the pamphlet, former City Minister and Director of Demos, Kitty Ussher, argues that the stance towards banks taken by many on the Left in British politics will hamper UK economic growth.
We are delighted to be joined by Chris Leslie MP, Shadow Financial Secretary to the Treasury; Paul Chisnall, Executive Director of Financial Policy at the British Bankers' Association; and Neal Lawson, Chair of Compass, who will respond to Kitty. The debate will be chaired by Allegra Stratton, Political Correspondent of the Guardian.
The event will take place at 1.45pm for a 2pm start on Wednesday 16 March at Ironmongers' Hall, Shaftesbury Place, Barbican, EC2Y 8AA. Click here for a map to the venue.
