Please join us for a keynote speech by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg to mark the launch of The Home Front, a new report from Demos and the Office of the Children’s Commissioner.

In The Home Front, researchers go behind closed doors to observe the lived experiences of families today. The report debunks popular perceptions of a decline in parenting ability that attribute blame to certain types of families. It shows that what can be learned about family life externally – family structure, household income, educational qualifications and so on – does not always align with the reality of day-to-day family life. 

Please join us at 9.45am for a prompt 10am start on Monday 17 January 2011. The Deputy Prime Minister will be introduced by Demos Director Kitty Ussher. The Children's Commissioner for England, Maggie Atkinson, and the report's lead author, Jen Lexmond, will also speak.
