Demos and the John Lewis Partnership are proud to present this panel event at the Liberal Democrat Party Conference which will examine the role of flexible working practices in delivering both economic productivity and social well-being. We are delighted to be joined by:

John Hemming MP, Member of Parliament for Birmingham Yardley

Will Davies, Research Fellow, Institute for Science, Innovation and Society

Patrick Lewis, Partnership Counsellor, John Lewis Partnership

Mary Riddell, Columnist, The Telegraph (Chair)

All political parties are currently exploring how to deliver a flexible work agenda without undermining the productivity of small and medium sized businesses. This event will consider the role of businesses in achieving greater well-being and social outcomes, whilst also assessing how social trends - such as an ageing population and a declining youth labour market - will impact upon well-being in the workplace.
