Demos is delighted to host a debate on cultural participation, with a keynote speech by Minister for Culture and Tourism Margaret Hodge MP.
The event will mark the launch of a new, year-long Policy Fellowship, jointly run by Demos and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, and exploring the impact of the arts, culture, heritage and sports on wellbeing and quality of life in the UK.
At the launch, Margaret Hodge MP, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, will give a keynote speech on the importance of cultural engagement, with responses from Professor Richard Sennett; Sandy Nairne, Director of the National Portrait Gallery; and the new Policy Fellow Samuel Jones. An audience Q&A chaired by Demos' Director of Research Julia Margo will follow.
