The Politics of Diversity and One Nation

This seminar is part of a series of discussions hosted by the Labour Policy Review team focusing on questions of nation. At the core of One Nation Labour is the idea that through people joining together and collectively working as a nation, Britain’s problems can be solved. This seminar will look at multiculturalism as a major political issue facing Britain, and it will explore how One Nation Labour can address the issues of diversity and integration.
Speakers will include Professor Tariq Modood, Professor of Sociology, Politics and Public Policy at the University of Bristol and author of Multiculturalism; and David Goodhart, Director of Demos and author of The British Dream. The discussion will be chaired by Rupa Huq.
