On Monday 18 July, Demos will host a panel event with Tim Kelsey, the Government’s Adviser on Transparency and Open Data on how unleashed information could transform public services and drive enterprise and economic opportunity.

This event is part of a wider research project with SAS, Coping with Big Data, which is investigating the promise and pitfalls of big data for innovation and democracy. This project is exploring how the ever-increasing amounts of data generated in digital networks, cloud computing and mobile networking can be most effectively shared, utilised and regulated to tackle social challenges, create more citizen-centric public services and foster more accountable institutions.
