This is the first example I've come across of a government department or quango using a wiki for consultation purposes.

How long before we follow suit? We should definitely try this for one or two Demos projects.

I think it'd be great if Demos started using Wikis. This article in Business Week - see www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/04_23/b3886141.htm provides a useful introduction, with links to some useful (and fun!) resources. Weblogs, both public like Greenhouse, and internal, are another great form of 'social software' - perfect for Demos' work. Even Microsoft is using them to fix teccie problems! See http://blogs.msdn.com - possibly the dullest blog on the web?
