John Tusa on Arts Funding

Sir John Tusa, Director of the Barbican Centre has written a piece in today's Times that strikes out at some of the mentalities that can dog debates around cultural funding.  You can read it here.

'This is not', he says, 'a special plea for a privileged place for the arts.  It is a plea for  the application of common sense ... and a plea for a serious approach to the funding of the arts'.
