Bea joined Demos as a Media Assistant in February 2009. She works on the communications desk, supporting the Head of Communications to ensure the successful exchange of our ideas and work through Demos' networks, mainstream and new media, and events.
As part of Demos’ media team, Bea has detailed knowledge of the UK media. She writes and edits for print media and negotiates the new landscape of social media with enthusiasm. Bea manages content for the Demos website and the Demos Greenhouse blog.
Before Demos, Bea worked for a charity promoting civil engagement in the United Nations and was News Editor of The Santiago Times in Chile. More recently Bea has worked with the Global Observatory covering the COP15 UN climate summit in Copenhagen.
