As alcohol-induced bodily fluid cascades down the high-streets of Britain tonight, you could be forgiven for forgetting some of the better aspects of the pubs of England. Sadly the Demos publication People Make Places, didn't feature a pub in its hunt for shared public spaces, but maybe in hindsight it should have. We had our suspicions that they might be the crucible of democracy and then somebody sent this through.

OpinionFormer creates a good space for your and your opinions to develop. We run short sharp informal debates in pubs to bring that space to you. London needs more space for political animals to have fun (and for fun animals to have some politics.. )! The subject of the first evening is "Credit is a Human Right". Come and talk and think with us. Then we'll have a drink. Tuesday, 29th November, 8 - 9pm. Upstairs at the Barley Mow. Curtain Road. Nearest tube: Old Street.

Worth checking out. Now then, does the Barley Mow have a late licence? You can find out more about the debate here
