- Nick Clarke RIP Nick Clarke, presenter of Radio 4's World at One has lost his battle with cancer. Alongside the lunchtime edition of Neighbours and getting muddy in the garden, the World at One was the backdrop to my school holidays. My awareness that there was more to the world than school and my sisters was almost exclusively piped through the voice of Nick Clarke during his "40 minutes of news and comment" on my Mum's Roberts radio.
