Dom is an Associate Economist at Demos, working on Building Character and the Home Front project.
Dom Longford has been working with Demos since May 2010. He is currently helping with the Building Character project and researching the influences on parenting style for the Home Front project at Demos.
Previous work includes conducting quantitative analysis for Access All Areas, a Demos/Foyer Federation report on young people's readiness for work, once they leave school.
He secured upper second class honours in Economics at the University of Hertfordshire where he wrote his thesis on the relationship between primary school test scores and labour market earnings.
This project explores how pre-work training can improve life chances for young people, particularly disadvantaged groups.
