Apparently nano is not just a new technology, but also the latest buzz word for marketing all sorts of goods and services.

One of these is the 'nano-bag' to put babies in (?!), but there has been an explosion of others too.

I was reading something the other day that said within 20 years planes will have far fewer moving parts. All the flaps will be replaced by a "skin" of thousands of tiny microelectromechanical (MEM) systems that will detect changes in turbulence and automatically adjust to compensate for them by raising or lowering their own tiny little flaps.
