Janani joined Demos in October 2012 as a part-time Research Intern working for the Centre for the Analysis of Social Media.
Janani completed her MA in International Relations at King's College London. A First Rank holder in an MA in Communication, she also holds a Bachelor's in Commerce from the University of Madras.
With nearly four years of experience as a technology journalist, she has worked with The Hindu, a leading English daily in India. Her research interests include counter-radicalization, transatlantic security, information security and social media research.
Janani also works as a part-time non-resident Research Intern for the Centre for Political-Military Analysis at Hudson Institute, Washington, since May 2012.
