Joe is currently studying Economic & Social History at the University of Edinburgh. He has also spent a year on exchange at the University of Chicago, taking courses in the Committee on International Relations and at the Booth School of Business. His research interests include Political Economy, Political Sociology, and Urban Studies.

Prior to joining Demos Joe managed a non-partisan political blog and has helped recruit for Teach First. During his year abroad he worked as a teaching assistant on the south side of Chicago and undertook a consultancy project for a non-profit working with formerly homeless individuals.

He has also completed a sponsored hitchhike to Morocco, raising money for Link Community Development.
