Jo holds a BA in Archaeology and Anthropology from the University of Oxford.

She has previously worked as a research intern for the New Local Government Network, as a national press officer for the Green Party, and as a campaigner with the POWER2010 campaign for democratic reform.

Her research interests include political media, direct action and democracy, social movements, public services and equality.
