Maia is currently completing an MSc in Social Policy (Research) at the London School of Economics, having graduated with a BA in History from the University of Cambridge. Prior to her MSc Maia worked at the children's charity 4Children and at the equality organisation Stonewall, and volunteered at the homelessness charity SPEAR.

At Demos Maia is working with Louise Bazalgette on the Early Childhood Nutrition project. She is especially interested in parenting and social care; behaviour change and public health policy; and housing, neighbourhoods and communities.
