- My Other Life - Pro-ams photo exhibition Charlie spotted in his copy of The Southwark News that there's an exhibition opening tomorrow at the Oxo Tower Gallery in London about Pro-Ams. It's called My Other Life and features photos of Katie Melua, Scissor Sister Ana Matronic, Al Murray, David Seaman and Imogen Stubbs among others, all showing off their amateur pursuits that they take to near professional standards.I think I might pop along for a look. from : paulmiller 25th May 2005
- Pro-Ams on BBC Radio Four BBC Radio Four's Shop Talk has done an entire programme about The Pro-Am Revolution. Charlie Leadbeater does the explaining but interviewees also include Demos friend Sir Patrick Moore on pro-am astronomy, Wikipedian Jimmy Wales on pro-am encyclopedia compilers and Phil Smith of Ubisoft on pro-am computer game developers (or modders as they're often called).And dear God, they're right, Crazy Frog is indeed a pro-am invention.You can listen to the programme here. from : paulmiller 7th June 2005
