We are about to launch the report Future Planners: Propositions for the next age of planning, on 6th February. You can download an executive summary diagram here.
In Future Planners we argue that for the changes to, and maintenance of, our places to be sustainable and democratically legitimate, planning professionals will be increasingly important. That's because of changes in how we live and how we infuence the world around us that are altering the context within which planning operates.
The report marks the culmination of a collaborative project we've been running with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, English Partnerships, and the Royal Town Planning Institute, led by us here at Demos, the Campaign to Protect Rural England and zero zero.
If you would like to come along to the lauch (you can read more about the event here), which will feature a talk from Kate Barker, just drop us an email. Places are filling up fast, so rsvp while you still can! (And by Tuesday 30th January if possible)
