- The Tube-ernet Is Getting Fuller A US senator recently made an amusing attempt to explain how the internet works - apparently as a set of big pipes that can, erm, get all clogged up with people's stuff and that. It reminds me of watching my parents trying to figure out how to programme the video recorder.More seriously, some are suggesting that we should jeopardise net ‘neutrality’ by creating a two-tier access framework, with privileged access for those heavy-users willing and able to pay extra.
