Sohail is going into his final year at Cambridge University where he is specialising in psychology. Prior to working for Demos Sohail has worked for the Conservative Middle East Council.

His interests centre on foreign policy and radicalisation. Sohail currently lives in Farnborough, but enjoys spending time in London.
