Before joining Demos, Sophie ran international events and travel for the Office of Gordon and Sarah Brown. While there, she also helped to set up the Global Business Coalition for Education - a new organisation that advocates for and supports the delivery of the UN Millennium Development Goals for education. 

Sophie worked for Demos before - managing our successful party conference programme in 2011. 

Sophie spent three years running large-scale educational and cultural events and conferences for young people. She holds an undergraduate degree in English Literature and Hispanic Studies from the University of Birmingham and has recently completed an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester.
