Vinitha is a research intern, working on the Public Finances Programme. 

She completed her PhD in IPE from Warwick University, focusing on Indian political economy in the sixties, particularly the involvement of the British Government in the 1966 rupee devaluation. 

She has worked on independent research projects including ones on higher education & women’s empowerment, the realities of rural development in South India and most recently on the future of SAARC. 

Her research interests include the political economy of currency devaluation, the politics of international trade, postmodernist concepts of identity and difference, the globalisation of world politics, the power-knowledge nexus and identifying global structural inequalities.
