Service Design Podcast

Posted by Sophia Parker at 12:21pm on Tuesday, 24th July 2007

Flooding accross the country has taken its toll on the Demos podcast. Last week's cast was supposed to come from the opening of Demos' beach in Bristol, but the inclement weather prevented us escaping the capital to record the opening last Friday. Nonetheless, we're going to try again today. In the meantime, continuing our efforts to put out one-cast-a-week, here's one from the subs bench. In this podcast Sophia Parker discusses a pamphlet published last year "The journey to the Interface". She discusses how users of public services such as Education and Health can inform how those services are designed and used - an approach that is "less about competition and contestability, and more about closing the gap between what people want and need, and what service organisations do".
