World class achievements in innovation, legendary investment in people and a thriving export industry aren't enough to ensure Sweden's sutainable success, prosperity and global competitiveness. Although Sweden enjoyed the fourth highest GDP per capita in the 1970's, it has since slipped down to 17th place in the global rankings.

Healthy conditions for innovation aren't translating into proportionate rates of entrepreneurial activity. But why?
