The Network Effect
Connecting Europe's next generation leaders
The forum meets every six months in a selected European city to focus in on a selected policy area. The network discusses the issues surrounding policy, learns by doing in organised 'real world' visits, and gets creative in shaping the format of the 2 day meeting.
Demos works with the British Council and a partner organisation in the chosen country to make the Network Effect work. So far, forums have been held in Stockholm (October 2005) with Swedish think tank SNS, and in Amsterdam with Dutch think tank Kennisland.
The next forum, in October 2006, will be in Bratislava with the Institute for Public affairs (IVO) and will look at Civil Society in a changing Europe.
