Creating electronic government

The author argues that the processes and structures of government must be radically reformed to meet the challenges of the digital age.

New information and communications technologies (ICTs) offer unprecedented opportunities to make government more responsive, effective and legitimate. The author argues that the processes and structures of government must be radically reformed to meet the challenges of the digital age. He sets out a series of recommendations to reinvigorate government agencies and democratic processes. George Lawson is a former Researcher and Communications Officer at Demos.
