Artist in Residence
Like many budding artists, Sophie is at a stage in her career when a studio is too expensive to rent and, while her art work is bought by people as far a way as Dubai, living is still pretty tough. But thanks to a novel agreement with a company based near Oxford Street, Sophie is able to have a room (admittedly stacked to the ceiling with boxes, files, and last year’s headed paper) and paint for free. Talk Us Into It
This report argues that people are not talking about public affairs less – the problem is that they are engaging less frequently in the means by which their conversation can become public. We need to reconnect these conversations with the public realm and bring back into discussion the interests that at the moment are so fragmented.

European Youth Video Project
This is put together by the European Cultural Foundation who are based in Helsinki. They have three key functions - organising the cultural sector in tricky parts of europe (eastern Europe, North Africs, Middle East, Former USSER, Balkans), lobbying the EU, developing their own projects and funding other organisations to do cultural projects accross borders. The one minuteJR is one of there's. These are one minute videos made by children with visual artists in workshops accross europe.
