- Meet the Pro-Ams Our new report The Pro-Am Revolution is out today and has been picked up by The Independent, The Telegraph and The Times among others. My favourite headline is probably 'The anoraks shall inherit the earth'.We also did the rounds of BBC local radio stations this morning and got a ringing endorsement from Anne Diamond on BBC Oxford who thought it was all a 'fabulous idea'. - Disorganisation launch Disorganisation was launched this morning at the very zen Energy Clinic in London. Many thanks to the speakers (Elizabeth Coffey, John Knell, Sir Bill Morris and Mike Newnham) and people who came along for what I thought was a really interesting discussion. I liked Bill Morris' classification of the differences of applying disorganisation to brownfield (existing) and greenfield (start-up) organisations. - Disablism Disablism - a new Demos report - is out today to coincide with the launch of Scope's Time to Get Equal campaign. Disablism isn't a word you'll find in the dictionary, but it was something that all the disabled people we spoke to and worked with on the project recognised very strongly as part of their experience. There's a good piece on BBC News Online about the launch and the report. - Jake 2.0 Every now and then Demos pamphlets strike a chord in ways we can't predict. System Failure by Demos associate Jake Chapman is one of those. It never really had any big splash media coverage, it just spread by word of mouth from civil servant to civil servant until we realised we'd run out of copies. So we've brought out a second edition which includes a new preface by Jake reflecting on the experience of becoming something of a guru in Whitehall. from : paulmiller 19th May 2004
