Skyrock Network the Dominant French Social Networking Site
Driven in large part by its French traffic, Skyrock Network has established itself as the second largest European social networking site. The site’s European traffic has grown 22 percent since the start of the year and now encompasses 13.8 million unique European visitors. This surpasses the 12.1 million unique European visitors recorded by the largest U.K. social networking site, Bebo.com.

Diversity and politics
Is ethnic diversity at the root of our current political malaise? Robert Putnam shows us that diversity brings major benefits to societies, but can harm social trust and political engagement in the short term. If he's right, then this might just be a transitional phase of renegotiation before we get back to politics as usual.

Northern Lights seminar series
This final seminar will mark the end of an 18 month collaborative project between Sitra (the Finnish National Fund for Research and Development), Demos and Demos Finland. As well as serving as the basis for a report on social innovation and well-being, the seminar will also celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Finnish Institute in London.

Alright my hubber?
Last week I went along to the official opening of the Hub in Bristol. You may know the Islington original, home to lots of social entrepreneurs and achingly creative types. Demos talks a lot about user-led design. The Bristol Hub feels a bit like user-led design as an extreme sport.
