Publishing

Demos is an open access publisher. Most of our archive and all new publications are available in electronic form to download free from our website.

We do not sell hardcopy versions of our publications directly. They are available to buy from our approved distributor, Central Books and more recent titles are also available from Amazon.co.uk .

You can order direct from Central Books:

  • Online: Visit the Central Books online bookstore
  • By email: Please send your name, address, daytime phone number and the titles and authors of the publications you want, to [email protected] . If you wish to pay by credit card, please go online or phone them as email is not secure. (For trade orders, email [email protected] )
  • By phone: Call 020 8986 5488 with your credit card details. Please quote the reference ‘web’ when placing your order.
  • By post: Send your name, address, daytime phone number and the titles and authors of the publications you want, with a cheque made payable to Central Books, to: Central Books, 99 Wallis Road, London E9 5LN.

Currently, Demos publications are licenced under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.0 England & Wales Licence . Users are welcome to download, save, perform or distribute this work electronically or in any other format, including in foreign language translation without written permission subject to the conditions set out in the Creative Commons licence.

If you are interested in using the work, please note that:

  • Demos and the author(s) are credited;
  • The Demos website address ( www.demos.co.uk ) is published together with a copy of this policy statement in a prominent position;
  • The text is not altered and is used in full (the use of extracts under existing fair usage rights is not affected by this condition);
